All About Julia

Julia’s ministry is to help others and herself strengthen their relationship with God in Christian community.  After discerning the intent of her ministry, Julia decided to gain greater understanding of the Christian faith, traditions, and practices.  She earned a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Andover Newton Theological School in 2008.  Before and since then, she has led a variety of fun and creative workshops and groups.  She is currently the Chair of the Adult Christian Formation program at her church and serves on other boards. Julia lives in Merrimac with her husband Bob and three dogs.

After a long career in human resources, Julia began her own consulting practice in 1985 that offered management training programs, team and executive coaching, and consulting expertise to organizations dealing with the transition and leadership implications of change.  Her clients were primarily from the financial, high tech, and pharmaceutical industries.  Julia also holds a BA in Organizational Development from Lesley College and is certified to administer the MBTI instrument and the Leadership Effectiveness Assessment from Management Research Group.  The non-profit, Martha and Mary Productions, was formed in 2004 with her colleague, Louise McRae.

Some transition management assignments include:

  •  Worked with the SabbaticalTeam of a mid-sized church to raise their awareness about managing the human side of change and including transition management into the planning process for the Rector’s four-month sabbatical.  Assisted in team development and education about transition management.  The rector was going to be away for four months.
  •  Assisting a theological school that is involved in transforming theological education by creating the new concept of Theological University which will contain diverse faiths and partnerships.
  • Assisting Coming Home, Inc., an affordable housing non-profit, to manage transition as well as leadership and constituency alignment.
